End Of Term

Just one more rehearsal this term! Tradition dictates that we make it a bit of a party so do feel free to bring along some nibbles. We’ll have a slightly longer break that usual so we can do a bit of socialising.

That aside, we’ll be finishing off Sunshine On Leith, singing through our final Hot Hopeful and revisiting one of my more popular warm ups. By the time you ready this, full details of what we’re covering should be in the Calendar

Summer Holidays

There’ll still be lots of opportunities for singing across the summer. The wonderful Kim (Bury St Edmunds) will be running bi-weekly Monday Sing-Song as per last summer at Fornham which will hopefully work for Thetford and possibly Bungay members too. For our Ipswich folks (and anyone else who wants to make the trip), Tallulah will be doing the same at our usual venue on a Wednesday.

If you’ve not done Sing-Song before, think Pop Club Choir, with no learning and even fewer rules. Come along, have a sing and have some fun.

Dates and full details for all Sing-Song events will on the Calendar very soon.

We’ve also got our Summer Picnic on Sunday 26th July at our Thetford venue, Thetford Town Cricket Club, Mundford Rd, Thetford IP24 1NB.

We’ll have the barbecue fired up if you don’t fancy packing up your own picnic and the bar will be open.

Everyone is welcome. New members, long-time members, other halves, friends, family etc.

There'll be the opportunity to show off your karaoke skills, games – and of course a good old Pop Club Choir sing song! There are picnic benches for the early arrivers, but bring rugs, or camping chairs just in case. No doubt the Pop Club Choir Corn Hole Championship 2026 will be hotly contested and if we have time, we’ll have game of rounders too.

The event runs from 2pm to 5pm.

Next Term

I can barely believe that we’re coming towards the end of the third year of Pop Club Choir.

Prices have been the same since we started but inevitably, there’ll come a point where I need to nudge the price up a pound or two but I’m holding off for as long as I can. When that moment comes, as always, I’ll make sure there are plenty of options for anyone who needs a bit of financial help.

Above all, I’ll keep trying to add as much value as I can so your choir experience is the best it can be. The Pop Club Choir App will be ready to launch late in the year, plus of course there’ll be our Autumn Social. However, I know that, above all, you come to sing, so I’m particularly looking forward to sharing the songs with you. On a swelteringly hot summer day it does feel slightly odd to be working on our Christmas song.
