SONGS FOR NEXT TERM

I'm pleased to report that the songs for next term are now arranged and almost ready to go.

In a vague effort to add a bit of showbiz-style razzmatazz, I'll be revealing them at our end-of-summer Workshops. I may even do a little teaching of them if time allows!

But don't worry! I know not everyone is able to come to Workshops so rest assured, I'll be teaching the new songs as if you've never heard them when we return week commencing 9th September.

As you may know, I was away doing a spot of camping "en France" at the beginning of August. The laptop stayed firmly under the front seat of the car for the duration so apologies for the radio silence. Normal communications now resumed.

I've tidied up a few bits.

Our Shop works slightly differently now.

If you're looking to buy tickets for the final summer Workshops, you go to popclubchoir.uk/shop as before. But there's now a new button marked Workshops which will show all the sessions available. No more having to add the date or location in the "Other Info" box.

Similarly, there's a single button for Black Polo Shirts and another for White T Shirts. Clicking on either of those will reveal buttons for each individual shirt size.

If you want to plan ahead, the rehearsal dates for 2025 are now in the Calendar.

Finally, I've changed the behaviour so that the Calendar section will be displayed when you first enter the Members' Area and will show the Workshops by default. Click Gigs to show all our performances and of course, the location name to show the rehearsals.

DATES

I'm really looking forward to us singing at Run Norwich on Sunday 8th September. It'll be a great way to start the term!

It's one of the best gigs we do. All 8500 running places have been sold so we're assured of great crowd. It'd be amazing if some of you more southerly members would come up and support our Norfolk locations. We'll be singing in the morning so you can follow our performance with a spot of lunch and some light retail therapy in the beautiful City centre.

Terms starts on Monday 9th September, straight after the Run Norwich gig.

As usual, there are ten rehearsals per term (all included in your membership). There'll be an optional Workshop after every five sessions and then a short break. Socials will be at the end of each term.

There's also an extra special mid-term-social event this term so I'll just draw your attention to our two week long break in October and suggest that you might want to keep the middle Saturday free. More details to be revealed soon. Whooooo!
