The Sound Of Silence is officially completed and the video recap lessons are now below, in the videos section.

Next week we'll get cracking with Giant. I'm hoping the lovers will love it and if the haters can be at least persuaded to bear it, I'll be a happy man. It's certainly going to be great to have more modern tunes in the repertoire for some of our gigs.

I'm not sure quite how long it'll take to finish Giant. Definitely at least a couple of weeks and maybe even three. I do have one more easy one up my sleeve in case we finish it with a week to go. If it proves to be a four-weeker, it'll take us to the end of term.

I've briefly toyed with the idea of making the last session of term a recap session and using it to re-teach some of the stuff we've learned before. There are one or two tunes that could probably do with a bit of tidying up. I'd welcome your thoughts as to whether you'd prefer to use some rehearsal time for this or whether you're happy to work with the recap lessons. Let me know!

Merchandise

By the time you read this, the new merchandise should have arrived. Once I've got all your pre-orders sorted, I'll update stock at popclubchoir.uk/shop.

And just a reminder that you can also order badges in the shop. Nothing to pay at the time of ordering, but if you don't mind paying paying 50p in cash when you collect your badge, I'll pass that straight over to Sandra, who kindly sorts the badges out for us all.

Music Player

The new Music Player seems to be behaving itself. As with any major change to the website, you might need to tell your web-browser to go and get the new files. To make this happen, it's often necessary to "delete your cache" and you can find out how to do this for your device by googling, "How do I delete the cache for [insert name of your device here]?"

I'll be adding plenty more features to the music player over the coming months. A big thank you to everyone who has submitted ideas, suggestions and bug-reports.

Summer Social

I'm hoping to hold our summer picnic again at the end of term. It's proving to be a bit of a struggle to find a date and a location. We've so many performances over the summer and I've one or two other commitments (such as family holiday, a handful of gigs with the band – nearly done with that side of my life – and my father-in-law's 90th birthday)! I'll let you all know once I've got it sorted but in the meantime, if you have any suggestions, please don't hesitate to let me know.
