Saturday Synopsis
2025 has got of to a flying start!
If you're new to Pop Club Choir, you may not realise that we only started this time last year. I can take credit for some things such as our Members' Area and the arrangements.
However, I've had so much practical support from you: preparation of the song sheets, help with checking in and welcoming, our tea/coffee team, organising of socials, and new for 2025, our badges. Equally, your feedback and encouragement have been invaluable.
The song suggestions, finding of gigs and help with venues (particularly for our newest location, Bungay, which, lest we forget has only been going for one full term) are all so appreciated.
Above all, thank you for being so friendly and welcoming as our community grows. I've had so many comments from new joiners about what a happy group we are.
Lurgy
Returned from Croxton on Thursday night feeling a bit worse for wear. I think I've picked up this lurgy that's going round.
I've every intention of being fighting-fit for Monday. If I'm not, I'll communicate that on the WhatsApp groups. If you've not done so, please, at minimum, make sure you've joined the "One-Way" group which is just messages from me. You won't get pinged a million times.
The link to join are below.
Songs
Next week (assuming the lurgy has cleared – see above), we'll finish Together In Electric Dreams
The following week, we'll get started on a new song. I had planned to finish the arrangement and get the parts recorded this weekend for something else. However, that's not going to be possible now. If I return to good health and more importantly good voice, I'll try and get it done in the week.
I've got three other songs in the pipeline. Two you're already aware of (Jump and Giant) and one you're not! This third one was going to be the first song of the term before I decided to go with something a bit easier.
Anyway, all will be revealed very soon.
