Saturday Synopsis
Half Term
First off, a quick reminder that the next regular rehearsal will be the first week of November, that is week starting 4th November. You can see a full list of rehearsal dates in the Calendar section below.
Songs
I was absolutely overjoyed with how amazing Fairytale of New York sounded, in particular the outro section which you absolutely rocked! I'm very much hoping to sing this with those of you who are coming to Croxton Church on Sunday 13th October.
When we're back after our mid-term break, we'll be getting cracking on I Want It That Way. The lyrics and the scores are now available in the Downloads area. After that's done, we'll almost certainly move on to Giant and then, if time allows, we'll finish the term with Jump
Croxton Church Sunday 20th Oct
Space is very tight for this event and we're now full up for choir places. If you've not already signed up but would like to come, please get in touch.
There are audience spaces available and the organisers have asked me to sell tickets for those through our website. You'll find them in the usual place at popclubchoir.uk/shop. If you're singing in the concert you obviously won't need tickets, but any guests or spectators will.
Halloween Party Saturday 26th October, Ipswich Sports Club
Up until this time yesterday, this event was sold out. But following discussions with Ipswich Sports Club, we've negotiated an extra thirty places. If you've attempted to order a ticket online and it's come up with a message saying it was sold out, do please try again.
It'll be a night of Halloween Horror with spooktacular songs from The SERIOUS Hat Band. There'll be devilish decorations (of course) and Gill and Dariusz will be serving up blood-curdling beef or bean chilli, with jacket potatoes, nachos, cheese, sour cream and salad.
The bar will be open all night, and if you really want to really scare yourself you can get up and sing with the band.
Dress code: Scary chic!

Christmas Socials
I'll be uploading details of our Christmas Social Events soon so you'll be able to sign up on the website. Members in Thetford/Bury St Edmunds are already organising a meal for those two choirs, and likewise at Bungay. If any of you Ipswich folks have any ideas for somewhere we might go out at to celebrate then give me a shout.
Finally, don't forget that right at the top of this Messages from Ed section you'll find the Useful Information stuff. In particular, there are links to all our WhatsApp groups. For each location, we have a "one-way" group which is just urgent or important messages from me. You won't be able to reply to them so your phone won't constantly be pinging.
We also have a Chat group for each location when you can ask questions, swap ideas and so on.
