Saturday Synopsis
Tuesday Night Pop Club Choir – now in Bungay
I'm so excited to announce the that final piece of the Pop Club Choir evening jigsaw is now in place. We'll be meeting on Tuesday evenings in Woodton, near Bungay. We've got some catching up to do - that goes without saying - but I'm very confident the good people of Norfolk will rise to the challenge.
The first session is THIS TUESDAY (4th June) which leaves just a couple of days to razzle up a good crowd of singers. I'm confident we can do it and, though I won't "name check" everyone here, I'm so lucky to have a such a terrific band of enthusiastic folks getting the word out.
Everyone is welcome, and don't forget you can come to any Pop Club Choir rehearsal you like, at any of our locations. That's all included in your membership. Perhaps we should give a prize to anyone who comes to all four in one week!
Please do spread the word by downloading a flyer from popclubchoir.uk/BungayA4.pdf and printing or sharing on Social Media. And you can direct people to popclubchoir.uk/tryforfree so they can sign up directly.
WHEN: Tuesdays from 7.30pm to 9pm (doors open at 7pm)
WHERE: Woodton Village Hall, Hempnall Road, Woodton, Bungay NR35 2NG
SIGN UP: popclubchoir.uk/tryforfree

FIRST REHEARSAL: Tuesday 4th June 2024
Suffolk Show
Many congratulatons to everyone who came along to sing at The Suffolk Show. Lots of very nice comments from spectators, friends and family alike. As well as singing like angels, you all absolutely performed your socks off.
I know I say this all the time, so I hope you'll forgive me for mentioning it again, but it really does make it so much more enjoyable for the audience if we look like we're having fun.
Other Gigs
As always, the sign up sheets are below in the Calendar section. Do please keep these updated. Times and other details are now up for the two Race For Life events in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. Such an honour to be invited to sing.
You can download a site map for the two Race For Life events at popclubchoir.uk/raceforlifeipswich.pdf and popclubchoir.uk/raceforlifebury.pdf
The D Day Concert is this Thursday (6th June) at Croxton. We'll sing just after our regular rehearsal, at around 9.15pm. All are welcome to join for the rehearsal (Croxton Village Hall, Croxton, Thetford, IP24 1LN) or just turn up for the performance if you prefer.
We'll be singing We'll Meet Again and White Cliffs of Dover and Downloads are available below in the folder called D Day Songs below.
We'll spend a bit of time running through them in the rehearsal but please do have a good old listen. We'll finish our performance with a rousing rendition of Bring Him Home.
Finally, I'm looking forward to helping celebrate Gloria's wedding anniversay at Ravenswood Hotel on 15th June. Gloria is a mainstay of the lower altos in Bury St Edmunds and she's kindly invited the choir to sing with a complimentary drink post-performance. Do sign up for this happy event.
Reach - S Club 7
Downloads (with the exception of the lyrics) are now on the site for next week's song. It's Reach by S Club 7. It's one of the most requested songs so apologies that it's taken me a while to get the arrangement to you.
Workshops
If you've missed any songs or you just want a refresher, I'll be running some Workshops over the summer, across our various locations. It'll be a chance to do some singing in the summer break, to learn or re-learn anything you've missed. Plus you can catch up with members of your regular group, and perhaps make new friends from other groups.
Each workshop will be three hours with a couple breaks. Expect to see these popping up in the online shop soon.
Polo Shirts
Thanks to everyone who's bought a Pop Club Choir polo shirt. We're now running dangerously low on stock so not all sizes will be available immediately. Plenty of large and XLs available but if you need a different size urgently then please get in touch first so I can check whether we have it in stock. Or if you're happy to wait a couple of weeks then feel free to place your order here.
Summer Social Sub Committee
Next on my list of things to do (having got our new location up and running) is to get cracking with the Summer Social. I'd like to aim for Bury St Edmunds, Thetford or Bungay for this one as we did Ipswich last time. If there are any enterprising souls out there who'd be interested in getting involved then do give me a shout.
I thinking a nice summer party somewhere. Maybe a BBQ, a few drinks, a bit of background music playing... you get the idea.
As always, if you have any questions or suggestions you can email me at ed@popclubchoir.uk or whatsapp, call or text on 07973 110075.
