Saturday Synopsis
It's been a very agreaable week though I've very much missed singing with you all. I hope you've managed to spend some quality time with the Downloads or the Music Player on the website. As I type this, our first full length gig is just over a week away!
Rome was as beautiful as ever and we did a lot of walking, a lot of sight-seeing and I consumed far more food than I should have. The same goes for coffee! However, I spent most of Friday evening at Clacket Lane Services as we nipped in to charge the car and it threw a hissy-fit and refused to budge or take any charge. Missed Tallulah's concert as a result and finally limped home at about 2am. It did however give me some time to start building the Music Player Web App so hopefully that'll be hitting your screens soon.
Whilst in Rome, I met with Alessandro, who runs a community choir there. A very different repertoire from ours so not sure if anytihng will come of it but had a very pleasant time talking about music, choirs, life, the universe and everything! We'll certainly be keeping in touch.
Week Starting Monday 6th May
Despite it being Bank Holiday Monday, we will be meeting at Bury St Edmunds this week (and Ipswich and Thetford of course).
This week we'll be running through everything we need for next weekend's gig at the Sproughton Beer Festival.
All the details you need are in the Calendar section of the website. If you'd like to come along, please make sure you update your status there. I've got a lot people who've marked themself as 'interested' so if you're one of those and you're either coming (or not coming) please update the Calendar. As always, give me a shout if you aren't sure how to do this.
REMEMBER, there's no need to commit all the words to memory for this one, so do come along even if you're not completely confident. You'll be in safe hands, I promise!
I've substituted Bring Him Home for Castle On The Hill as, despite the best efforts of our wonderful soloists, I got the impression that you're not huge fans of that particular Ed Sheeran tune! Full Set List is below.

Bury St Edmunds
A quick note for Bury St Edmunds: The New Bury Community Centre now have someone in the hall until 7pm so it'll be a bit more of a rush to get set up. I'll make sure the 'check-in' desk is all sorted but if anyone is able to get there a bit early to help set up chairs (whilst I'm getting the "kit" set up) that'd be really useful.
If you have any questions, you can email me at ed@popclubchoir.uk, or whatsapp, call or text on 07973 110075.
