Clear Up

Thank you to everyone who came along to our big Halloween Bash. Judging by the photos and videos in the Facebook Group you had a good time.

Your costumes were amazing and an especially big "well done!" to everyone who got up to sing with the band. It's a very different proposition to singing in a choir and my band mates and I thought you rocked it!

I'm happy to report that Ipswich Sports Club is now clear of Halloween-related stuff (though my kitchen is still full of boxes – the plan for tomorrow is to get everything back up in the loft).

Halloween Week

Our halloween festivities are not quite over yet, however. As well as starting I Want It That Way, we'll be singing Ghostbusters and Thriller as our Hot Hopefuls.

We'll definitely be having a run through of Fairytale Of New York too!

Paper and Printing

A short plea to remind you to print out your lyrics if you're able.

I'm always very happy to print out stuff for people who need it but in order to make sure everyone has access to a copy I seem to end up printing loads of copies which end up getting thrown away, which seems a bit wasteful.

So, please let me know if you're coming this week and need print outs.

Hoodies and other purchases

I'm pleased to report that the first batch of hoodies has almost sold out. If you've bought one online and not collected it yet, I'll be bringing yours to this week's rehearsal.

As per last week's Saturday Synopsis, I probably won't be keeping too many of these in stock as they're super-bulky and I think I'm already taking my fair share of the available space at Dewson Towers. So, it may take slightly longer for orders to arrive than you're used to.

The link for all purchases is at popclubchoir.uk/shop. One or two of you have asked why it's not in the Members' Area. The reason is that I need to make sure new-joiners can access the store in order to join up, and of course, if your membership has expired you'll need to be able to see it in order to renew.

Norwich

I'm excited that plans for what will almost certainly be the final Pop Club Choir location are taking shape. It'll be a daytime choir and reasonably central to Norwich.

I'm currently trying to find a suitable location so do shout if you have any suggestions. I'm looking at the afternoon of either Monday, Tuesday or Thursday so I can combine it with evening choirs.

Christmas Dinner

Plans for our Christmas socials for Thetford/Bury St Edmunds and Bungay are well under way.

For Ipswich, we're wondering about having a Christmas Dinner at Ipswich Sports Club on Wednesday 11th December. No reason why we couldn't go elsewhere though. So, if you have any suggestions or you'd like to get involved in organising something, do give me a shout!
