Messages From Ed

A weekly, termtime roundup of Pop Club Choir goings-on and a peek at what’s coming next.

Saturday Synopsis

Just the briefest of messages this week. If last weekend felt a bit full on, this weekend is even more hectic, albeit with non-choir-related stuff.

Thank you so much to everyone who came along for our first week back. I loved hearing you sing I Could Be So Good For You and I'm looking forward to tackling the second verse next week.

We'll do a bit of work on Suspicious Minds too, in preparation for our gig on 12th October and also sing through some our regular repertoire. So, no new Hot Hopefuls this week.

The lyrics and scores are up for I Could Be So Good For You, but not any of the other songs for this term yet. They're in production and I'll be uploading them shortly.

A huge, huge "well done" for everyone who came along to sing on Sunday at Run Norwich. If you've not seen the video, you can watch it by clicking here.. You'll see us at about two minutes and ten seconds.

We've already been booked for next year and I've had a most lovely email from the organisers (which I've posted on our Socials).

It was such an uplifting event and we'll be doing it all again, albeit at the opposite end of the day, on Saturday 5th October for the Shine Midnight Walk. If you've not yet signed up, you know where to go.

But that wasn't all we did last weekend. A very, very last minute call came in around midday on Saturday, asking if we were free that evening to headline at the All Out 2024 Music Festival in Thetford. Local superstar (and lower alto) Kim recommended us and pretty well single-handedly razzled up a huge choir.

Thank you to all who came along. I think it's fair to say that we rocked it. And, as per the above, we've already been asked to come back next year!

AND FINALLY...

Even if you're a Pop Club Choir veteran, don't forget to check the Useful Information, "pinned" at the top of this section. I want this to be a "One-Stop-Shop" for everything you need to know about about your Club.

Let me know if there's anything that you're always hunting for that you'd like included in this bit.

As always, you can email me at ed@popclubchoir.uk, or whatsapp, call or text on 07973 110075. Or hit me up on Facebook!
